Case Study 2
Scenario
A user is a working parent, and a big sports fan, in the midst of their favorite sports season who can no longer attend games.

Write a promotional screen for an app that lets a user choose teams, sends game reminders, real-time score updates and highlight videos.
Headline: 40 characters max
Body: 175 characters max
Button(s): 25 characters max
Solution
Here’s why…
Sports are fun and easy to enjoy, so the language on this screen should be too. Sports fans are passionate about what they love, and if they can’t follow their favorite teams like they used to, then an app that helps them recapture that excitement is just what they need.
“Get back in the game” is a great headline because it specifically targets the intended audience: busy parents who don’t get to stay on top of their favorite teams like they used to.
The body is simple, quick, and tells the user everything that they need to know—just like the app.
The “Create an Account” button and “Sign In” link are familiar features that offer the user a predictable way to interact with the app.
By providing a score update sample, the app gives the user a preview of its features, and encourages them to sign up and explore what else it has to offer. The sample complements the text of the body and is a visual representation of the features that it describes.
